CORRECTIONVILLE - The 14-3 Lawton-Bronson girls demolished River Valley 77-49 in Western Valley Conference basketball action here Friday night after jumping to a 25-7 lead in the first quarter.

Kari Ludvigson led the host Wolverines with 16 points, followed by Brittany Hunwardsen 12, and Britny Shropshire and Lexie Chester 10 apiece.

Shropshire led her team in rebounding with seven, while Ludvigson snared five, Hunwardsen four, and Allie Byers three. Ludvigson also led in assists with five, and in steals with six. Chester had four steals for River Valley.

The Wolverines made 17-55 field goals for 31 percent, and converted 11-23 free throws.

The River Valley girls took a 14-5 record into this week's Western Valley Conference Tournament.
