The River Valley boys picked up a 54-36 victory over Charter Oak-Ute in the consolation round of the Western Valley Conference tournament over the weekend, forcing 25 CO-U turnovers.

Zak Gander had another double/double for the Wolverines with a 20 point ,13 rebound effort , while Brody Reidemann added 13 points and dished out five assists, and Brennan Reidemann scored 10 points and had five steals. Austin Moeller also contributed five steals for RV, while Blaine Cullen pulled down 10 rebounds.

A pleased RV Coach Dean Norris said, "We showed good teamwork, as scoring was balanced, and defense continues to be our strong suit with the forced turnovers and holding CO-U to two points in the 4th quarter to break the game open."

The Wolverines have no games scheduled this week as the conference tournament wraps up. They will travel to Alta on Feb. 10th for a non-conference game with Alta-Aurelia three days before District Tournament play opens.
