MAPLE VALLEY - A disappointed Ridge View coach Shannon Tesch said his boys "played really flat" in a 54-35 loss to Maple Valley/Anthon-Oto in Western Valley Conference Tournament basketball action here Saturday.

Said Tesch, "MVAO came out with a lot of energy on both ends of the court and we didn't match it. It was a disappointing game - we are a much better team than we showed tonight. I really thought we would take it to them."

Coach Tesch gave MVAO credit for the win, though, adding that the Rams played some tough defense.

Seth Johnson led the Raptors offense with 19 points, and he also grabbed eight rebounds.Travis Hoeppner grabbed 10 rebounds and had two steals.

MVAO had four players score in double figures, with Korey Kuhlmann netting 14 points, Derrick Kerns and Ryan Dougherty 11 points each, and Beau Wolfe 10.

The Raptors are now 4-15 on the season and 2-7 in the Western Valley Conference.
