I wonder if Punxutawney Phil will see his shadow or not today? This groundhog who lives in Punxutawney, Pennsylvania has been predicting if spring will arrive early or if winter will last six weeks longer. This is his 126th year of predictions.
What's going on at the library during February?
The Cherokee Public Library continues to offer programs for different aged children. Every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. children ages 3-5 year old can come and listen to stories, do finger plays, action rhymes, sing songs and do a simple craft during Preschool Story Time. The February story time dates are as follows: 7th, 14th, 21st, and the 28th.
Saturday, Feb. 11 the Terrific Toddlers will meet from 10:30 -- 11 a.m.
Toddlers, ages one through three years old, bring your parents for some stories, rhymes, finger plays, and a simple scarf activity.
If you love your library and you love parties then come to the library on Monday, Feb. 13 from 3:45 -- 4:45 p.m. We will toss some Lincolns, feast like our founding fathers, and have some heart felt fun! Don't forget to ride the IC bus to the library. I hope to see you then. All ages are welcome!
Don't forget to stop by and pick up a February newsletter.
