A repast that included chili, beef and noodles, and ham and bean soups had a lot of folks dreaming of sinking that first putt of the season. Among those helping out at a Soup Supper at the Quimby Golf Course were old duffers Rich Wych and Gaylen Goettsch (left), who kept the soup coming.

The soup supper attracted a lot of area folks, including Mick and Judy Brown (right). The chili, beef and noodle and ham and bean soups were the perfect preparation for the upcoming golf season.

The supper provided the perfect bill-of-fare for folks dropping in for the event, including (botttom) Pastor Bob and Joanne Stout of Quimby. Volunteer Rich Wych is seen ladling out their steaming portions of chili under the watchful eye of his wife Carol.
