Home Show programs on tap

Monday, February 27, 2012

On Saturday, the annual Chronicle Times Home Show will feature information and products to improve homes and lifestyles.

Exhibits from various vendors will be on display from 9 a.m. to 3p.m. Saturday at the Conference Center at the Cherokee campus of Western Iowa Tech Community College. A variety of presentations will also be offered throughout the day.

Starting with the program "Moving Ahead in the Garden World" at the WITCC Auditorium from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. that will feature John Beier of Rhoadside Blooming House and Tim DeVries, guest speaker.

Come and join them for a fun, creative, and informative program highlighting new perennials hardy for our area, new items that are being tested, and the creative use of water plants for those with or without a pond.

Great ideas for container gardening will be presented as well. Bring your questions. Get ready for some prizes. Be prepared to be inspired.

Lunch will be served by Hy-Vee from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

From 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Marcus Lumber will be giving the seminar for the home show on a new product called Vast Composite Landscape pavers.

This is manufactured by Azek Building products and is billed as the most durable, easiest to install and most socially responsible pavers in the world.

They are made from 95% recycled materials making them the first composite made from virtually all recycled materials and is 1/3 the weight of concrete and engineered to last.

It should proved to be a very informative seminar with this new to the market product. They will also have the product on display in their booth.

Admission for the Chronicle Times Home Show is free and there is no charge for the programs.

We invite you to come and see what's new for 2012 in remodeling, redecorating, home repair, health and more.

Vendors still have time to sign up. For more information on the Home Show or to set up a display booth call the Chronicle Times at 225-5111 or e-mail ads@ctimes.biz.
