The Board of Trustees at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Cherokee, which suffered major fire damage last Sunday afternoon, has made a decision to hold the church's regular Sunday morning worship services in the auditorium on the upper level of the Cherokee Community Center for the month of March, according to Pastor Magrey deVega.
deVega said that the services at the Community Center will begin this Sunday, March 4th, and continue through the month of March. The service will begin at its customary time of 10:10 a.m.
The St. Paul's congregation expresses their thanks to the city of Cherokee for allowing them to use the auditorium for their worship service. Those attending services are asked to please leave the south parking lot at the Community Center for the use of people who have accessibilty needs. Church youth will be available to assist those people to and from their vehicles.
There will be no Sunday School or Confirmation classes at St, Paul's during the month of March.
