Michael T. "Gunner" Morrow, 62, of Cherokee, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 at his home.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 17, at 10:30 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Carolyn Hollar will officiate. There will be a family prayer service at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee, with military rites at graveside by L. A. Wescott Post #2253 of the V.F.W. Visitation will be on Friday from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home with the family present from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com.

Mike was born June 17, 1949 in Cherokee, to Meredith and Marion (Cosier) Morrow. He graduated from Cherokee Washington High School in 1967. He served in the U. S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He had worked for Schoon Construction, Lundell Construction, Tyson Foods (Formerly Wilson Foods) and was also self-employed. He was a member and Past Commander of L.A. Wescott Post #2253 of the V.F.W. He had lived in Cherokee all his life. He loved the outdoors, cutting wood, fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his four sons, Michael Morrow of Holstein; Chad Morrow of Cushing; Joshua Morrow of Scottsdale, Ariz.; Shane Morrow of Sallisaw, Okla.; four grandchildren, Brandi, Shannon, Samantha and Cody Morrow; his siblings: Darlene (Dale) Badrick of Portland, Ore.; Ramona Weins of Fort Dodge; Orville (Ruth) Morrow of Sioux City; Dan (Pam) Morrow of Cherokee; Karen (Tom) Utesch of Moville; many nieces and nephews, his special friend Kathy Wittrock of Cherokee.
