All children who will be enrolling in kindergarten at River Valley Community School in August are invited to visit the kindergarten room and take part in the planned activities on the morning of March 30. Parents and children are asked to come to the library in the elementary building at Washta at 9 a.m. The children will spend from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. in the kindergarten rooms to become acquainted with the teachers and the things they will be doing next year.
The parents will have a short session in the library with the kindergarten teachers, AEA staff, school nurse and the principal.
A review of the kindergarten program will be presented explaining what is expected of beginning students and describing other services such as Transitional Kindergarten, which are available to families. There will be an opportunity for parents to ask any questions they may have.
Parents may return to pick up their child at 11:30 a.m. in the library.
On Round-Up Day, parents are required to bring the following items :
* Birth Certificate
* Immunization Record
* $2.25 for lunch
