Holzhauer's expands

Holzhauer Motors in Cherokee received certification from Chrysler Motors on Monday to sell and service new Chrysler vehicles at their location on the south side of Cherokee. Holzhauer's already had certification at their northside facility, but their plans to expand services at the new facility (the former Brown Chevrolet) required new certification by Chrysler. Holzhauer owner Dan Winchell feels that Holzhauer's was able to meet the new "Millenium standards" set by Chrysler due in part to their remodeling of that facility, including the new arched door storefront. He also felt that the size of the facility helped secure the certification as well. With this new certification, Holzhauer's will move all of their new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles to the south building, and all future new vehicles of these makes will also be sold and serviced at that site.

The southside dealership has now been renamed "Holzhauer Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram" to differentiate it from their location on the north side of town, which will continue to sell new GMC, Buick and Chevrolet vehicles. Used vehicles of all makes and models will be available at both locations.

Winchell said he is excited about this new development, adding that he believes that Holzhauer's is the only dealership in the area which has new vehicles and service available for GMC, Dodge and Chrysler models - all in one town.

Demand for new American vehicles has increased, said Winchell, as their quality has improved in recent years, and he said that Holzhauer's will probably be adding new technicians and sales people in the future, as needed.
