Morningside student paper published in research journal

Wednesday, March 21, 2012

Demi Dunn
SIOUX CITY -- Morningside College student Demi Dunn, daughter of Douglas and Deborah Dunn of Cherokee, wrote a paper that was recently published in a peer-reviewed undergraduate research journal.

Dunn is a 2010 graduate of Washington High School.

Her article, "Propaganda vs. Political Persuasion in Politics: Public Beware," was published in the ninth volume of Young Scholars in Writing: Undergraduate Research in Writing and Rhetoric.

Dunn first wrote the piece for a Composition and Communication course with David Elder, assistant professor of writing and rhetoric at Morningside. Then she revised it into the article that was published in the "Spotlight on First-Year Writing" section of the journal, which only publishes essays originally written for a first-year composition class.

Dunn is a junior at Morningside majoring in advertising.
