Special Olympic athletes compete in Iowa City

On the weekend of March 9 and 10th, two Cherokee Special Olympic athletes headed to Iowa City along with their coach to participate in the Midwinter State Tournament.

Cody Ludwig, a 3rd grade student at Cherokee Roosevelt Elementary placed third in the boys 8-11 year old basketball skill competition.

Annalie Nelson, a 5th grader at Cherokee Middle School placed third in the girls 8-11 year old basketball skills competition.
