MARCUS - Steve and Melissa Utesch recently made a monetary donation to the elementary libraries in Marcus and Cleghorn in memory of Melissa's parents, Milton and Mary Anderson, formerly of Akron.

The Utesches have chosen to donate the money for sports books, as their youngest son Tanner, along with Melissa's late father, have always had a special love for baseball.

Thanks to the donation, Mary Deichmann, manager of the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn Primary Library in Marcus, has purchased a complete set of books of all the Major League Baseball teams, several new fiction books, including sports books witten by Jake Maddox, and the 'Return to Titanic' series by Steve Brezenoff, both high interest books for both boys and girls at the elementary level.

"The MMC elementary libraries are very fortunate to benefit from the legacy of Melissa's parents," said Deichmann.

Steve Utesch teaches sixth grade, and Melissa teaches second grade at MMC.
