Well, spring is finally here. I've seen flocks of geese flying overhead and robins hopping on the lawn.
Speaking of hopping. The Easter Bunny will be hopping by to visit with children at the Cherokee Public Library Thursday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m. -- 7:30 p.m. They will receive a special egg with a surprise inside and make an Easter craft to take home. Parents don't forget your cameras. All ages are welcome.
The month of April has some special events going on at the library. April 8 -- April 14 is National Library Week and the youth department will have a special program on Thursday, April 12 from 3:45 p.m. -- 4:45 p.m. "Mr. Tap 'n' Go" is looking forward to seeing the boys and girls at the library. He remembers how much fun he had dancing as everyone sang some of their favourite songs. We will be making a glueless collage and have a snack. All ages are welcome. Don't forget to ride the IC bus to the library.
The youth department will also be giving away prizes during the week for any child who visits the library during National Library Week. You must come up to the youth department to receive your prize.
We will have the Terrific Toddler program on Saturday, April 14 from 10:30 a.m. -- 11 a.m. Any 1-2-3 year old children should bring a responsible adult and join
Peg for stories, songs, finger-plays, and action rhymes. Hope to see you there.
Our Preschool Story Time for 3-5 year olds are held every Tuesday from 10:30 -- 11 a.m. Join Peg for stories, songs, action rhymes, and crafts.
