Other issues discussed by the Board and Shanahan was the Engineer's Office sign maintenance and upkeep policy. Shanahan wanted to update the Board on his policy of checking on signs and went over the filing and procedures on hand that promotes a continued inspection and up keep on older signs.

Shanahan sought the Board's approval on a resolution regarding Bridge Posting and Rating Approval that the DOT adopts yearly when bridges are rated. The Board approved the resolution and Supervisor Jeff Simonsen suggested that this resolution is a yearly resolution that it be part of the annual meeting of the supervisors first of the year meeting, a time that is set aside to approved of annual contracts and resolutions.

Shanahan also brought a utility permit from Iowa Lakes Electric for section 13 and 24 of Grand Meadow Township. The Board approved the permit.

In other business the Board signed seven birthday cards for County Employees who have birthdays in the month of April.
