The Cherokee Public Library is highlighting National Library Week from April 8-14 by hosting some special events.

On Monday, April 9 the Cherokee Area Archives will provide a slide show on historical Cherokee at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, April 12 at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., Judy Grienke-Miller will give an overview of WILBOR, the program that allows library patrons to download free ebooks and audio books. She will answer questions about e-readers as time permits.

Also on April 12 from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., Peg Wurth and Mr. Tap 'n Go will have a program in the children's department with music, crafts and snacks.

Citizens can sign up for daily drawings at the circulation desk and in the children's department, pick up a bookmark and stop in for a cup of coffee.

The public is invited to help the Library celebrate.
