The Children's Department had a special guest on Thursday, March 29, the Easter Bunny. Flashes of camera lights were going off as parents took pictures of their children greeting and talking to the Easter Bunny.
Each child received an egg filled with candy egg from the Easter Bunny. Then they made a mini Easter basket so they had something to help them get their egg home safe and sound. It was truly a family event. We had eighty-seven people. It was great to see the parents helping their children make their baskets and reading books with their children after they saw the Easter Bunny.
This week we are celebrating National Library Week! We will have drawings everyday in both the adult and the youth department. So be sure to stop by and sign up for the drawings. Congratulations Javanni Wilkins for being our first winner in the youth department. You can come to the library any time this week and claim your prize.
The youth department will also have a special program on Thursday, April 12 from 3:45 -- 4:45 p.m. All ages are welcome. We will have a special guest who is anxious to see the boys and girls of the library. Mr. Tap 'n' Go is back and is ready to tap his way into your hearts. We will make a collage without any glue, have a snack, and draw a name for a prize. When you come to the library be on the lookout for some rather unusual sights at the library. Don't forget to ride the IC bus to the library and come join in the fun.
