2012 Ridge View Prom Royalty -
The Ridge View King and Queen will be crowned during the Grand March at the High School in Holstein on Saturday night. Candidates are, left to right, Paul Bainbridge, Travis Hoeppner, Lyndsay Naberhaus, Taryn Rasmussen, Kayla Ronfeldt, Shelley Wendel, Marc Meyer, and Chandler Woodke.
HOLSTEIN - "The Titanic" is the theme for this year's Ridge View Junior-Senior Prom, which will be held at the high school in Holstein Saturday.
All Ridge View juniors will be decorating for prom during the day on Friday, and any junior parents are welcome to help with the decorating.
Junior and Senior class sponsors will be helping chaperone the Grand March, supper, and the dance on Saturday evening. There will be valets (junior dads) parking the attendee's vehicles.

The evening Saturday will begin with public viewing of the decorations from 4 to 5 p.m. in the school commons; prom photos will be taken beginning at 4:30 p.m.; at 5:45 p.m., junior and senior class pictures will be taken; the gym doors will open at 6 p.m., and the Grand March will start at 6:30 p.m. in the high school gym. The Grand March is open to the public. Free will donations will be accepted to help defray the cost of decorating the gym.
Activities during this time will include a welcome, recognition, thank yous, prom attendee introductions, prom royalty recognition, crowning of the king and queen, and picture time with family and friends.
The dinner, catered by Hy-Vee of Cherokee, will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Commons. The menu includes Roasted Pork Loin and Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo, cheesy potatoes, dinner roll, green bean casserole, fruit salad, and an assorted variety of cheesecakes.
The dance will be held in the commons from 9 p.m.- midnight with music provided by Randy Franken.
Sophomores and sophomore parents will help with the clean up on Sunday beginning at 12:30 p.m.
