Lloyd R. Robinson, 85, of Meriden, passed away Thursday morning, April 12, 2012 at his home.
Graveside memorial services for Lloyd and his wife Lucille will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, at Meriden Cemetery in Meriden.
Pastor Larry Ostercamp will officiate. Military rites will be performed at the graveside by L.A. Wescott Post #2253 of the V.F.W. It was Lloyd's request to be cremated. There will be no visitation. Lloyd was born on Sept. 24, 1926 to Harry and Flossie (Parcel) Robinson at Quimby. He attended school in Cherokee. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Army. Lloyd was united in marriage to Lucille Korleski on June 13, 1949 at Luverne, Minn. He worked for Fredrickson Grain for 40 years until his retirement in 1988. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, wintering in Texas and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Lucille, on Oct. 6, 2011; three sisters and six brothers.
He is survived by his five children: Mary Theresa Proctor of Waxahachie; Gary and Kris Robinson of Meriden; Marvin and Caryl Robinson of Cleghorn; Mike Robinson of Hornick; Rick and Cindy Robinson of Doraville, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother: Raymond Robinson of Renton, Wash.; also many nieces and nephews.
