Shayesteh was born and raised in Iran near the Caspian Sea. As a young man he was totally committed to Islam. As a college student, he helped oust the Shah of Iran and bring Ayatollah Khomeini to power.
A few years later he opposed some of the Ayatollah's political agenda and was imprisoned and sentenced to death. He eventually escaped to Turkey and there met a group of Iranian Christians, was born again by the gospel of Jesus Christ, and has been following Jesus ever since.
He now lives in Pennsylvania and travels the world as a speaker seeking to expose Islam and present the superiority of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He will be speaking at Oakdale Evangelical Free Church, rural Meriden, three different times on the weekend of April 28-29. The public is welcome at any of these meetings.
