The Cherokee County Auditor's Office has announced that ballots for the upcoming Primary Election are available Thursday, April 26. Absentee ballots for the upcoming Primary Election are available in the Cherokee County Auditor's office located in the Cherokee County Courthouse at 520 W. Main St., Cherokee.
If you will be unable to vote on the scheduled Election Day, Tuesday, June 5, you may stop in or call the Auditor's office at 225-6704 to receive the absentee request form.

You can send your ballot request to: Cherokee County Auditor, 520 W. Main St, Drawer H, Cherokee, IA 51012.
You can also drop off your absentee ballots at the Cherokee County Auditor's Office, 520 W. Main St ; or in the drop box in front of the court house North doors.
The deadline for handing in an absentee request form to the Auditor is 5 p.m. on the Friday prior to the election, June 1. You may vote absentee at the County Auditor's office through Monday, June 4.
Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked by Monday, June 4, or you may hand deliver your voted ballot to the Auditor's Office by 9 p.m., Tuesday, June 5.
