AURELIA - The Alta-Aurelia golf teams hosted Sioux Central here Friday in a Twin Lakes Conference dual meet, and the Warriors won both ends.
In the girls varsity match, Alta-Aurelia won by a 187-245 score, with A-A'S Kelsi Snyder taking medalist honors with a 45, edging teammate Erica Lockin, who took runner-up medalist with a 46. Jenna Snyder shot a 47 for the Warrior girls, and April Goslinga shot a 49 to round out Alta-Aurelia's scoring. Maddi Meier shot a 52 and Aspen Wiederholt 64.
Presley Herrig led Sioux Central with a round of 54 and Hallie Ehlers was their second low score with a 62.
The A-A JV finished with a team score of 245, led by Kaity Brake's and Meri Kestel's 60; Val Hernandez a 61; and Lindsay Hall, 63. Steph Stange finished with a score of 66. Sioux Central only had one JV golfer, so they were not able to post a team score.
In the Boys dual, Alta-Aurelia scored a 159-207 victory. Jaden Holton continued his excellent play this spring, taking medalist honors with a 35. Teammate Nick Radke was runner-up medalist with a 40, and Spencer Bezoni, with a 41 and Kale Nelson, with a 43, rounded out the Warriors' scoring.
Tanner Archer and Gus Loving led Sioux Central with scores of 46 and 49, respectively.
Alta-Aurelia also took the JV boys match by the score of 202-264. The Warriors' Ross Parcel was JV medalist with a score of 45 and teammate Brett Stange was runner-up with a 47. Also scoring for Alta-Aurelia were Alex Stephan, with a score of 53 and Trevor Cuthbertson, 57.
Brandon Teno's score of 59 was low for the Sioux Central JV.
