Ridge Runners Spring Rendezvous nears

The Cherokee Ridge Runners Club will be holding it's annual Spring Rendezvous this weekend, May 4, 5, and 6 and the public is welcome during daylight hours.

The School Day at the Rendezvous will be held on Friday, May 4. Scouts attending need to be in uniform to receive camping and meal discount (please wear your cap, sash or troop badge).

Camping fees will be $15 for primitive, $20 for modern, and camp fee includes Saturday Camp Feed (limited to three meal tickets, kids 12 and under free) and meal tickets are $5. Three will be limited water and wood.

There will be 17 shooting events, including In-Line Muzzleloaders, plus the Hawk and Knife Throw. Remember to post and pull your own targets on the range and bring your own staple gun.

Those participating in the Outlaw Hawk Throw must have a handle on their tomahawks, which must be thrown with one hand/no explosives please.

The Fall Rendezvous is held at Little Sioux Wildlife Area located southwest of Cherokee. It's five miles South on Highway 59, turn west onto county road C44, turn south onto the River Road and then turn East on 590th St. (gravel road) and turn South to the entrance to the Little Sioux Wildlife Area.
