Ridge View girls shut out MNW

GALVA - The Ridge View softball team improved to 2-1 on the young season as they defeated Manson-Northwest Webster 10-0 in 5 innings here on Wednesday. Getting the win on the mound for Ridge View was Mandy Wolver, who threw five innings and gave up two hits, while walking one and striking out five.

Leading the way at the plate were Gretchen Kistenmacher, who went 2-3 with a double and one RBI, Nicole Snyder, who went 2-3 with two RBI, Mandy Wolver, who was 2-3, and Kaitlin Wulf, who also went 2-3 with one RBI.

Coach Scott Phelps said the coaches are happy with the effort the kids are giving and "how they are hitting the ball up and down the line-up."

Ridge View traveled to Alta Thursday night to take on Alta/Aurelia in non-conference play.
