The River Valley girls scored a couple of impressive wins on the softball diamond over the weekend.

On Friday, the Wolverines' MacKensie Fitch twirled a one- hitter and struck out seven, and Kari Ludvigson carried the offense with a 4-4, 3 RBI performance, in a 8-1 win over West Monona. Olivia Goetsch added two hits for RV, while Abbey Miller, Lexie Chester, and Bailey Fitch each stroked doubles and Jordain Volkert and Jacie Jepsen added singles as the RV offense came alive.

On Saturday, RV's Jacie Jepsen hit a towering grand slam home run and added a double to lead the Wolverines to a 12-0 3-inning victory over Storm Lake S. Mary's.

All of the Wolverine starters had at least one hit with MacKensie Fitch, Bailey Fitch, and Lexie Chester having two. Abbey Miller pitched a no-hitter on the mound while striking out five.
