Ridge View girls shut out PA/PP

POCAHONTAS - The Ridge View softball team took on Pocahontas Area/Pomeroy-Palmer in non-conference softball action here on Thursday night, and the Raptors

came away with a 12-0 win in four innings.

Picking up the win on the mound for Ridge View was Mandy Wolver who threw all four innings, giving up no runs on three hits, while having no walks and striking out two.

Leading the way at the plate for Ridge View were Kaitlin Wulf, who went 3-3 with a double and an RBI; Ashlynn Blenner, who went 2-3 with two RBI and stole two bases; and Gretchen Kistenmacher,who also had an RBI.

The Ridge View coaches were happy with the win and the overall play of the Raptors. They felt that the team's defense was much improved, and they are hoping to build off of this solid performance.

The victory improved Ridge View's season record to 11-8.
