ALTA - The hopes continue to be high for the talented Alta-Aurelia baseball team this season as the senior-laden Warriors pick off one opponent after another.

Four of those seniors will be leaned on heavily to form the pitching corps led by Jaden Holton, Neil Marshall, Austin Delp, and James Curbow. Also impacting the A-A pitchers this season are junior Jayson VanHaaften, and freshman Ross Friedrich.

Leading the Warriors at the plate will be a host of solid hitters, including Jalen Henningsen, Neil Marshall, Jaden VanBerkum, Delp, Alex Stephan, AJ Lange, VanHaaften, Holton, and Zach Sleifert, to name a few.

Coach Dan Wendel likes his team's make-up and thinks the Warriors can contend in the conference all the way to the end.

With eight seniors on the squad and a solid nucleus of underclassmen with lots of skills, the present and future remains bright for A-A baseball.

Wendel is capably assisted this year by Ryan Wuebker.
