Ridge View girls lose to L-B

Friday, June 29, 2012

GALVA - The Ridge View Raptors wrapped up their conference softball schedule Wednesday night, losing to Lawton-Bronson 5-1 at the Galva Field.

Taking the loss on the mound for the Raptors was Gretchen Kistenmacher, who gave up 13 hits while walking none and striking out six. Only two of the five runs were earned. The Raptors had only one hit and that came off the bat of Nicole Snyder.

The coaches were disappointed in the lack of putting the ball into play and the team's defense as "it let us down at times," said Head Coach Scott Phelps. "We will continue to work hard," said the veteran coach, and get ready for the conference tournament. "

Ridge View is now 9-7 in the conference and 15-11 overall.
