'I'd run forever for a cure'

The second annual Life & Breath Trail Run benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is fast approaching. Mark your calendars for Saturday morning August 4th, and come out to support children and young adults across the nation who battle cystic fibrosis.

Walk-on registrations are certainly welcome, though they won't be guaranteed a tee-shirt.

The 5K trail run will loop the scenic limits of the Cherokee Mental Health Institute grounds, and offers the challenge of a true fitness trail versus a paved route the 1-mile participants will trek.

Strollers, children's bikes, and walkers are all welcome for the 1-mile loop. No pace is too fast or too slow, local organizers just would love to see a great crowd join them for a morning of fitness and fun.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. August 4th, and the races begin at 8:30 a.m. Participants will receive a Life & Breath Run 2012 T-shirt and be eligible for door prizes and top finisher prizes as well.

Drinks & light refreshments will be served following the run.

Please call 229-1034 with any questions you might have.
