Laurine Lundell, 82, of Cherokee, passed away Friday afternoon, July 13, 2012 at Careage Hills in Cherokee.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 16, at 10:30 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Magrey deVega officiated. Burial was in the Afton Township Cemetery, rural Cherokee. There was a family prayer service at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home on Monday. Visitation was on Sunday, July 15, from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home with the family present from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com.

Laurine was born Nov. 14, 1929 on a farm south of Larrabee, to Fred and Lavinia (Zwick) Gould. She was adopted by George and Ethel Zwick. She grew up on a farm north of Aurelia. She attended Aurelia grade school and graduated from Cherokee High School in 1948. She was married to Robert Lundell on Sept, 17, 1948 at Cherokee.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Cherokee. She enjoyed watching Nascar and football.

She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth (Russell) Parks; Bernice ((Vic) Mercer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold (Pauline) Gould; Galen Gould; Cliff (Halcyon) Gould; Kenny (Joyce) Gould; brothers in-law Leo Kelly, Vernon Lundell and Harvey Stratton.

She is survived by three children: Mary Wascher and her husband Lowell of Warsaw, Mo.; Mark Lundell and his wife Ann of Cherokee; Tom Lundell and his wife Corrine of Cherokee; grandchildren: Travis (Amber) Wascher; Sara (Brandon) Lucas; Molly (Nate) Patterson; Christina (Eric) Ostovic; Eric (Kelly) Lundell; great grandchildren: Jaiden Wascher; Kai & Cord Lucas; Isabella & Isaac Ostovic; Mesa Patterson, Carson & Piper Lundell; one sister and one brother, Hazel Kelly of Cherokee; Marvin (Frances) Gould of S.D.; three sisters-in-law: Vivian Gould of Emmetsburg, Waldene Lundell of Cherokee, and Genevieve Stratton of Cherokee; several nieces and nephews.
