Two 'Naturalist's Lunchbox' outings left
Beginning on June 21 The Cherokee County Conservation Board's has been hosting a series of lunches at Koser Spring Lake Park called Naturalist's Lunchbox, and now there are only two lunches left. Those lunches will beheld this Thursday and Aug. 9. So mark your calendars today.
If you're stuck in a rut during your workday lunch, then this a great opportunity to do something different. Cherokee County Conservation Board's Naturalist, Laura Kohn, invites you to spend your lunch break with her at Koser Spring Lake Park.
The Naturalist's Lunchbox is an outdoor program that runs from noon to 1 p.m.. It's a time to enjoy the outdoors, eat your lunch, and be part of a fun activity that the whole family will enjoy. Each program will take 30-45 minutes and be on a different topic (this week her topic will be on birds), leaving some time to finish lunch, ask questions, and enjoy the fresh air.
The program is free of charge and will be meeting at or near the big shelter by the playground in the Park.
Remember to bring your lunch, blanket if you want to sit in the grass, and be prepared for any type of weather, but leave the family pet at home. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Come and see what's in the Naturalist's Lunchbox.
For more information, contact the Cherokee County Conservation Board by calling 712-225-6709 or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The topic for the last Naturalist's Lunchbox on Aug. 9 will be Tree-mendous.
