Musical entertainment abounds Sunday in Cherokee
Contrary to an article in the Chronicle Times' RAGBRAI supplement, there is no cost for admission to Sunday's concert by the Cherokee Symphony. The concert, which will take place at the Washington High School Auditorium at 7 p.m., will have a free-will donation.
The Symphony concert is partially funded by a grant from the Cherokee County Legacy Foundation.
The renowned Cherokee Symphony is a portion of some outstanding musical talent that will be playing for RAGBRAI in Cherokee Sunday.
Entertainment begins at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Main Stage/Beer Garden on West Maple Street starting off with the Buffalo Ridge Band; followed by the popular Crosby, Stills, and Nash tribute ban, Daylight Again, featuring local musicians from 6:30-8:30 p.m.; and topping off the night from 9 p.m. to midnight with the Mighty Nish Band.
In addition, "Just Us" will play from 1-3 p.m. on West Main Street, and Andy Juhl & Bridgett will play at the Copper Cup, also Sunday afternoon.
