Lynette "Lynn" F. Fey, age 63, of Sioux City, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2012 at the Mercy Medical Center of Sioux City. A visitation was held Sunday, August 05, 2012 at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Holstein, and a funeral service was held on Monday, August 06, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church of Galva, with the Rev. Paul D. Egger officiating. Burial will be in the Diamond Cemetery of Aurelia. A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Fourth Street Cafe in Sioux City.

Lynn was born on April 27th, 1949, in Storm Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Lea (Lullmann) Kreutz. She grew up on a farm in rural Aurelia and attended school in Galva, graduating with the class of 1967.

Lynn married Alan Fey on May 23, 1970 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. They made their home in Sioux City, where they raised their two daughters. Lynn worked for the Sioux City Community School District for 37 years, retiring in 2010. She loved and cherished the time she spent with her co-workers.

A loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, her family was always her first priority. She treasured the time she spent with her family and close friends. She enjoyed fishing with the love of her life, doing puzzles, playing cards and bingo with her friends. She also enjoyed the 'occasional' trip to the casino and treasured ladies night out with her dearest friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and mother and father-in-law, Frank and Vesta Fey.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Alan Fey of Sioux City; two daughters, Tracey and significant other Courtney Heller of North Liberty, Iowa and Shelly and Kirt Klug of Waterbury, Nebraska; eight grandchildren; brothers, Loren and his wife Ann Kreutz of Aurelia and Lyle and his wife Sara of Holstein; two brothers in-law and their wives, Earl and Vivian Fey of Iowa Falls and Dennis and Linda Fey of Sioux City; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
