88 Backpacks for students

Monday, August 13, 2012

Once again this school year, the Cherokee Rotary Club, in conjunction with Hy-Vee Food Stores, has donated backpacks full of needed school supplies for the elementary school children from low income families. Hy-Vee provides the colorful backpacks and the supplies inside. This year, according to Hy-Vee Store Director Tim Haupert, 88 backpacks were stuffed with supplies and taken to Mid-Sioux Opportunities for distribution to the children.
