Hy-Vee Distribution Center recognizes employees of the Quarter

Hy-Vee Distribution Center extends its congratulations to Doug Goebel, Luis Villegas, and Jim Preuss. The three were announced as Employees of the 3rd Quarter. Doug began his Hy-Vee career in September of 1988 at part-time as a Warehouse Generalist 1 in the Hy-Vee Grocery department. In November of 1989, he accepted a regular-time position in Grocery. In September of 1990, he was promoted to full-time. In November of 1997, he accepted a position in the General Merchandise department.

In November of 1997, he returned to Grocery department. His co-workers and peers said "Doug has an outgoing positive attitude and works additional hours when needed. He shows true pride in his work and is dedicated to community service. He is very respectful of others and shows he cares.

Doug is a team player and welcomes new co-workers. His performance is tremendous and knows the job well. Doug is also willing to train and help everyone learn jobs."

Luis began his Hy-Vee career in May of 2011 at regular-time as a Warehouse Generalist 1 in the Hy-Vee Grocery department. His co-workers and peers said "Luis has a super positive attitude and he gets it done with a smile. He has a meticulous work ethic and doesn't miss a beat. He's always willing to learn new things. He will do any job if asked without thinking twice and is always smiling. Luis is a great hard worker in Grocery and General Merchandise on the receiving dock."

Jim started his Hy-Vee career in April of 2003 as a part-time Service Worker in the Hy-Ve Grocery department. He also works in Transportation as shag driver. His co-workers and peers said "Jim works wherever he is needed sometimes on a moment's notice. On his way to every job he is always watching and picking up areas. He helps out anyone and everyone. He is quiet and gets his work done. Jim shows his Hawkeye pride. He is a hard worker and has a 'get-it-done' attitude and he keeps the pace of a 20 year old even though he might be 40."
