SIBLEY - The Hull Western Christian boys and girls each took a team crown at Tuesday's Sibley-Ocheyedan Invitational Cross Country Meet. with the Wolfpack Varsity Boys topping the field with 66 points and the girls varsity team totaling 51 team points.
Trinity Christian, Sioux Center, West Lyon and South O'Brien finished second through fifth, and in the Boys Varsity team standings, while on the Girls; side, Sioux Center, Sibley-Ocheyedan, Sheldon and George-Little Rock/Central Lyon finished second through fifth, with South O'Brien taking 6th place.
Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen Union also competed, with the MMC/RU boys finishing 8th in the Team Standings, with 253 points.
The Eagle girls did not have enough runners to qualify in the team standings, but Nicki Schwartz medaled in the varsity girls meet, placing 15th with her time of 17:21. Other MMC/RU Girls Varsity times were : Kim Schroeder, 21:54 and Sarah Bird, 20:42. Ben Brady topped the MMC/RU Varsity boys, running in a time of 20:36, and his teammates were Zach Kellogg (21:20), Roman Galles (23:05), Nathan Ruba (25:00) and Mark Peters (27:37).
Kayla Brady medaled for the MMC/RU JV girls, posting a time of 20:09, good for 12th place.
