River Valley rips Ar-We-Va, 54-19

WESTSIDE - River Valley righted the ship with a 54-19 explosion over Ar-We-Va Westside here Friday night in 8-player football action, as Wolverine quarterback Brennan Riedemann rushed for four touchdowns and four two-point conversions to tally 32 points on his own.

Riedemann also was 10-15 passing for 180 yards and three TDs, with two of those going to Josh Pansegrau and the other to Wyatt Fitch.

Riedemann rushed the ball 16 times for 181 yards, averaging 11 yards per carry, including a 73-yard TD scamper for a superb outing. Sam Briese carried the ball nine times for 35 yards, and Jimmy Cockburn five times for 32 yards.

Ryan Dalton led Ar-We-Va on offense with two TDs, including a 32-yard run to paydirt, and a 30-yard TD pass from QB Brandon Koch. Elliott Kock also tallied a TD for the hosts on a 60-yard pass from Koch.

Cockburn led a solid defensive effort for River Valley with 14 tackles, while Riedemann and Pansegrau tallied seven apiece, Hunter Casey six, and Adam Schirmer five. Riedemann also had a pass interception and Briese recovered a fumble for the winners.

Kock led Ar-We-Va on defense with 16 tackles, and Kyle Gallagher totaled 10.

The 1-1 River Valley squad hosts District foe Kingsley-Pierson (0-2) for Homecoming Friday night in Correctionville.
