Wolverines' Riedemann totals seven TDs

CORRECTIONVILLE - River Valley made its 2012 Football Homecoming game count big time with an exciting 56-33 victory over District foe Kingsley-Pierson in 8-player action here Friday night.

Wolverine quarterback Brennan Riedemann was one hard dog to keep under the porch Friday night, rushing for a whopping five touchowns and passing for two more to pace the River Valley offensive onslaught.

Riedemann carried the ball 39 times for 211 yards and five TDs, and completed 20-32 passes for 283 yards, two TDs and one interception in the high scoring game.

All told, RV rushed the ball 49 times for 251 yards and the visiting Panthers rushed 48 times for 260 yards, with QB Colin Henrich leading the way with 20 carries for 115 yards, and Colton Phelps totaling 18 hauls for 62 yards. Henruch also completed 2-16 passes for 25 yards, one TD and two picks.

For K-P, Austin Neumann scored a 40-yard TD run, Henrich ran one in from 11 yards out, and Jacob Harvey tallied a TD from one-yard away.

Josh Pansegrau led the RV receivers withg 10 catches for 144 yards and one TD - that a 40-yard beauty from Riedemann. Sam Briese caught six passes for 108 yards and one 12-yard TD.

On defense for River Valley, Jimmy Cockburn and Parker Goettsch tallied 13 tackles apiece, followed by Pansegrau 12, and Adam Schirmer 10.

Alex Pledl led K-P in tackles with 15, while Henrich had 14, Ryan Langel 12, and Clint Donaldson 10.

Henrich also displayed his mutiple talents by kicking three PATs, intercepting a pass, and booting a 52-yard punt.

Likewise River Valley's Riedemann, who added two interceptions to his impressive game totals. Goettsch also gobbled up two fumble recoveries for the winners.

The 2-1 Wolverines play at 0-3 Remsen St. Mary's Friday night.
