Ridge View falls to Cougars, 34-28

HOLSTEIN - Manson NW Webster clipped Ridge View 34-28 in Class 1A District football action here Friday night.

The Raptors rushed the ball 52 times for 223 yards and four touchdowns from four running backs to account for their point total. Ridge View quarterback Ryan Garthoff completed 17-30 passes for 222 yards and two interceptions and no TDs.

Garthoff carried the ball 26 times for 126 yards and one TD, while Dru Kenny rushed 18 times for 81 yards and one TD, Matt Wandrey seven hauls for 15 yards and one TD, and Daniel Jeckell had one carry for a TD.

Wandrey led his team in receptions with five for 45 yards, and Kenny caught four for 22 yards.

For Manson NW Webster, Brennan Thompson rushed the ball 20 times for 93 yards and two TDs, the longest coming from 15 yards out. Quarterback Alex Bush completed 11-17 passes for 200 yards and two TDs - one to Brody Eischeid for 67 yards, and one to Hudson Spedding for four yards.

Michael Davidson paced the Ridge View defense with 13 tackles, followed by Nate Myrice with 10, and Joe Toekheim and Wandrey with six apiece. John Kofmehl had an interception for the Raptors, and Dillon Kunneke had a fumble recovery.

Lucas Dolder led the Cougars on defense with 15 tackles, while Thompson had 13, and Drake Harman tallied 10.

Ridge View (0-3) plays at Sioux Central (2-1) Friday night in District action.
