DENISON - The Ridge View boys and girls competed here on Tuesday in the Dension-Schleswig Invitational meet and the Raptor boys finished 10th in a strong field, while the Raptor girls were 12th.
The varsity boys' meet was won by Storm Lake with 70 team points, with Harlan, Denison, Carroll Kuemper and South Central Calhoun rounding out the first five finishers.
In the girls section, Harlan came home first with 21 points, followed by Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln, Denison, Woodbine and IKM - Manning.
Individually for the Ridge View varsity boys, Jason Kenny was the individual champion, touring the 5k course in a time of 17:46.27, and teammates Christian Egger, Sergio Carbajal, Luke Kliegl, Charlie Kliegl, Gabe Carbajal and Zach Kenny finished 20th, 45th, 69th, 70th, 82nd and 83rd, respectively.
For the Raptor girls, Rachel Boyle ran the 4k course in a time of 20:39.01 to finish 57th, while teammates Kate Mathes, Susie Collier and Melissa Brandt each turned in times between 21 and 22 minutes to take 61st, 63rd and 67th, respectively. Angela Livezey was 75th, with a time of 23:56.54 and Courtney Carstens was 76th, with a time of 24:05.75.
Ridge View also had runners competing in the Middle School boys and girls races as well as the JV boys.
