In addition, Utesch passed for two more TDs, including one to Isaiah Petersen for 48 yards, and one to Levi Letsche for a 2-yard TD and finished 3-3 passing for 67 total yards, two TDs and no interceptions.

Passing took a back seat to the Eagles' ground game that saw Erdman, Hoefling, and Utesch rush for two scores apiece, and Jared Gross and Holme each with one TD. Utesch rang up a 55-yard run for MMC's longest from scrimmage, while Hoefling hauled one in from 28 yards, and Erdman from 25.

Nate Rassel led the stout MMC defense with a dozen tackles, followed by Gross 10, Ben Phillips nine, Tyler Prunty eight, and Holmes six. Holmes and Petersen also recorded fumble recoveries for the perfect Eagles who obviously have caught on to the 8-player game in their first year of competition.

No game statistics were made available for Whiting. MMC hosts River Valley (2-4) Friday night.
