LAKE CITY - The Cross Country teams from Ridge View and Alta-Aurelia ran in the South Central Calhoun Invitational Meet here on Tuesday.
The Prairie Valley girls and Glenwood boys topped the varsity team standings in the 15-team meet, while the Warriors placed 7th in the girls and 6th in the boys standings, and the Raptors were 9th in both the boys and girls varsity standings.
Ridge View's Jason Kenny continued his excellent season, finishing second in the Boys Varsity 5k race with a time of 17:34.0. Also running for the Ridge View varsity boys were Christian Egger, wh o placed 16th with a time of 18:39.69; Sergio Carbajal (31st, 19:19.00); Charlie Kliegl (76th, 21:17.50); Gabe Carbajal (85th, 21:59.94) and Zach Kenny (89th, 22:14.50).
Rachel Boyle led the Ridge View girls' varsity runners with her time of 19:34.30, good for 41st place in the field of 82 runners. Rachel Hunt was 44th, in a time of 19:44.20; Kate Mathes was 50th, in 20:07.44; Susie Collier was 63rd (20:57.90); Sami Naberhaus finished 69th (21:20.00), Angela Livezey was 72nd, in 21:40.59, and Melissa Brandt was 75th, with a time of 21:56.90.
Ridge View also had several competitors in the Middle School and JV races.
No information was available for the Alta-Aurelia runners.
