The Cherokee Area Friends of NRA (National Rifle Association) are hosting a Fund-raiser Banquet beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday in the Cherokee Community Center at 530 W. Bluff St.
The event targets fund-raising in support of the groups' projects, including Youth Education, Firearms Training Programs, Hunter Safety Clases, and more. Raffles, games, food, and love and silent auctions are on the program.
A variety of firearms, art work, jewelry, and many collectibles and accessories will be on display and available at auction. Ticket prices are $25 each. By becoming a Cherokee Donor for $200, you'll receive two banquet tickets, $200 in bucket tickets, recognition in the event program, and a chane to win an exclusive Cherokee FNRA gun. For every nine donor packages sold, one gun will be added to the drawing, according to organizers.
