Happy Fall to All. One of my favorite things to do during this season is to shuffle through a pile of leaves and hear the sound of the leaves crunch under my feet.
I can't help but smile when I see the leaves shower the sidewalk with all the different colors of fall.
There's something new at the library that will put a smile the children's faces. We now have more games for the children who like to play games but do not have permission to go on the internet.
All three computers have sound and each computer has its own set of headphones. So when you want to play a game just take a look at the screen, decide which game you would like to play, tell the librarian at the desk and they will put the CD in for you.
Here are just a few of the new games you can play: Barbie as Island Princess, Danger on Deception Island (Nancy Drew), Dr. Seuss's ABC, I Spy Fun House, I Spy School Days, Land Before Time Preschool Adventure, Lego Island, and Lego Island 2, Mighty Math Carnival Countdown, My Little Pony the Runaway Rainbow, and Oregon Trail. We still have most of the older games as well. So come and try out the new games!
Terrific Toddlers will be meeting Saturday, Oct. 13 from 10:30 -- 11 a.m. Children ages 1-3 and a responsible adult are invited to come and spend some time singing, doing finger plays, moving to music, and learning new bouncing rhymes.
