BOONE - The Hall of Fame classes for 2013 in Wrestling and Basketball have been announced by the Iowa High School Athletic Association. The new members will be introduced on the Saturday night of the Traditional State Wrestling Tournament (February 16) and the State Basketball Tournament (March 9).

The new inductees in wrestling are: Coach Robert "Bob" Kenny; and athletes Wil Kelly, Steve Knight, Matt Otten, and Joe Zuspann.

Being honored in basketball are: Coaches Jim Squiers and David Lee and former players Msgr. Wayne Ressler, Lonnie Porter, Dean Schnoes, Ed Vaske and Casey Blake.

Schnoes, a two-time All Northwest Iowa selection at Washington High School in Cherokee, was also named to the All-State team twice, and he was the sole junior starter on the Braves' 21-1 state tournament runner-up squad in 1975.

He averaged over 17 ppg and 13.2 rebounds per contest in that memorable season, and in his senior year he again averaged a "double-double" of 21.8 ppg and 12.6 rpg for a team that lost only three games.

He went on to play collegiately at Northwestern College in Orange City, and he is currently the Superintendent of Schools at Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton.
