Sewing for awareness

Friday, October 12, 2012

Cheri Hasenwinkel of Aurelia recently completed over 100 tissue covers to help promote Breast Cancer Awareness during the month of October. The fabric and patterns were donated by Quilt N Kaboodle of Cherokee, along with her own materials. The covers took Hasenwinkel about six weeks to complete and a total of 150 tissue covers were donated by Quilt N Kaboodle to the Cherokee Regional Medical Center's Radiology Department for anyone who has a mammogram. Hasenwinkel said it was rewarding to her to bring awareness to a worthy cause. Photo by Mike Leckband
