Rebels end Warriors' VB season

ALTA - The Sioux Central volleyball team topped their Twin Lakes Conference rival Alta-Aurelia, 3-0 here on Wednesday, in the first round of Class 2A Regional Volleyball.

Game scores were 25-17, 25-12, 25-19.

Alta-Aurelia's Jenna Snyder had 10 kills for the match, while Kelsi Snyder had 14 assists; sophomore Erica Lockin had 33 digs, while Katie Turnquist had 14 and Jenna Snyder 11; Tena Heschke had the Warriors' only blocked shot and Lockin, Turnquist and both Snyder girls each had one ace serve.

The Warriors' season comes to a close with an 18-18 mark in their first season under Coaches Jen Keitges and Kacee Jensen.

Sioux Central (17-17), which won three of their four matches this season with A-A, now moves on to the second round of the Regional, where they will face Ridge View in Schaller on Tuesday.
