Chris Rasmussen, 77 of Satsuma, Fla. went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012. Chris was born in Kingsley, on September 18, 1935 to the late Arthur and Ruth (Evans) Rasmussen.
Chris was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Dunns Creek Baptist Church. He was a carpenter by trade and left his mark throughout central Florida in numerous commercial and residential projects. He loved fishing and scuba diving, working at one time as a commercial salvage diver.
Chris was a longtime member of the Tampa Tridents Scuba Club as well as an amateur paleontologist.
His legacy continues with his wife: Bobbie Rasmussen of Satsuma, Fla.; two children, Annette Coats (husband, Vaughn) of Huntsville, Ala. and Douglas Rasmussen (fiance', Corinna Rodarte) of San Lorenzo, Calif.; three sisters, Christine Miller (his twin), Dorothy Ann Wilkie both of Cherokee, and Mary Liebsch (husband, Ted) of Grand Marais, Minn.; two grandchildren, Meagan Morron (husband, Joseph) and Caitlyn Coats; and great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Morron.
Chris's life was celebrated on Tuesday, October 23, at 11 a.m. at Dunn's Creek Baptist Church in San Mateo, Fla., with Terry Wright and Dan Phillips as officiants.
Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center was entrusted with the arrangements.
