The Oak Hill Directory Committee is planning an appreciation get- together at Oak Hill Cemetery on Wednesday, November 7 at 2:30 p.m.
There will be a short directory dedication program and refreshments will be served.
We would like you to invite the public to help celebrate the completion of the Directory Project.
The Oak Hill Cemetery Directory Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank the many community members and businesses for their financial and moral support on this project.
The Committee acknowledges several key supporters of the project including: Pilot Rock Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, initiators of the Directory Project; Florence Frisbie, benefactor to Pilot Rock Chapter D.A.R. , buried at Oak Hill; The R. J. Thomas Manufacturing Family, donators of all the signage by Pilot Rock Signs; City of Cherokee, concrete work and maintenance; County of Cherokee, GIS Mapping; and Carlson and Kohn Company, construction of the shelter.
The project is nearing completion.
Construction of the shelter is done. The name and location signage is complete. The Committee are anticipating that the map and the history signage will be installed soon.
The Oak Hill Cemetery Directory Committee is made up of, Micki Conley, Peggy Corrington, Nancy Parrott, Mayor Mark Murphy, Don Eikmeier, Duane Mummert, Margaret Woltman, Tim Greenwood, Richard Boothby, Richard Waterbury, and Orville and Lila Saxby.
