Schuck, Klett, Carlson First Team GPAC

SIOUX CITY - Several student-athletes with local connections have been named to the first team All-Conference football team of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).

Cherokee Washington graduate Kyle Schuck, a junior wide receiver, was one of five players named to the First Team offense from league champion Morningside. Schuck is the son of Steve and Barb Schuck of Cherokee.

Another Mustang who was selected was junior tight end Austin Klett, who prepped at Clay Central -Everly, and is the son of Gary and Marcia Klett of Everly. Marcia Klett, nee Winterhof, was an outstanding basketball player at Aurelia High School and Northwestern College, and Austin's grandparents, Orville and Iona Winterhof, still reside in Aurelia.

Jordan Carlson
Named to the First Team All-Conference defense was Northwestern's Jordan Carlson, who was also named the GPAC Defensive Player of the Year. The lineman prepped at Storm Lake High School, and is the son of Loren and Cheryl Carlson of Storm Lake and the grandson of Cliff and Doris Carlson of Aurelia.
